Personal data ValenciaMove collects
Consultation and contact forms: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the topic you choose and your message. Some forms also ask for details you choose to give, such as the number and ages of your children for school help, or the property and budget for a renovation.
Translation quote requests: your contact details, the languages involved and the documents or details you describe.
Newsletter: your email address, your language, the page you signed up from and, where a form asks, your interests and moving timeline.
Neighbourhood quiz: if you ask us to email your results, we use your email address and your quiz matches to send that one email. We do not save them in our database unless you also tick the separate newsletter box.
Meetings booked through Cal.com: your name, email address and the time you choose.
Browsing data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and interactions, collected by the analytics tools described below. When you click a link to one of our partners, we also count the click (partner, page and language) without any personal identifier.
Why ValenciaMove uses your data and the legal basis
To answer your enquiry and prepare or provide the service you ask about: the steps you request before a contract, and the contract itself (GDPR article 6.1.b).
To send the newsletter: your consent (article 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time.
To email you your quiz results: your own request (article 6.1.b). It is a single email, not a subscription.
To measure how the site is used: consent for analytics cookies (article 6.1.a and article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE).
To keep forms free of spam and abuse, for example with a hidden honeypot field, a sending limit and Cloudflare Turnstile: our legitimate interest in a secure site (article 6.1.f).
To issue invoices if you become a client: our legal obligations under Spanish tax law (article 6.1.c).
Cookies and analytics on ValenciaMove
vlc_move_consent: a cookie that stores your cookie choice for 6 months. It is necessary for the banner to work.
Google Analytics 4 (Google): visit statistics.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): heatmaps and session recordings of how pages are used.
Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs): visit statistics.
Cloudflare Turnstile: an anti-spam check on the consultation form.
Embedded YouTube videos load from youtube-nocookie.com when you press play. One article embeds a Facebook video, which loads with the page and lets Meta set its own cookies.
Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs load only after you accept analytics cookies in the banner. If you reject them or close the page without choosing, none of the three loads. You can change your choice at any time with the button at the end of this page; a withdrawal applies from the next page you open. None of these tools run on our private admin area, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Who receives your data: ValenciaMove's processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run this site for us:
Supabase: the database that stores enquiries, newsletter subscriptions and meeting records, hosted in the EU region (Ireland, eu-west-1).
Hostinger: website hosting, served through a content delivery network (CDN), and the email server that sends and receives our mail.
Cal.com: meeting bookings.
Slack: our team receives an internal notification about each new enquiry, so the right person can reply.
Cloudflare Turnstile: the anti-spam check on the consultation form.
Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Analytics: visit statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Our invoicing software, only if you become a client.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to the tax authorities.
Transfers of your data outside the European Economic Area
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards the GDPR allows, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long ValenciaMove keeps your data
Enquiries, newsletter subscriptions and contacts: until you ask us to delete them, or until the purpose for which we collected them ends.
Meeting records: deleted 7 days after the meeting, or 2 days after a cancellation.
Job listings shown on the job board: 40 days.
Quiz results email: we keep nothing in our database once the email is sent, unless you subscribed to the newsletter.
Client records and invoices: for as long as Spanish tax and commercial law require.
Cookie choice: 6 months. Google Analytics 4 data: as set on our property, up to a maximum of 14 months.
Your data protection rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address above. We reply within one month.
How to complain to the Spanish data protection authority
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es.
