Villa rentals in Benidorm: where to stay and how to book a legal holiday rental

Benidorm is in the Marina Baixa, in the province of Alicante. The town's tourism site puts it 106 km from Valencia and 38 km from Alicante, and INE counted 77,327 residents on 1 January 2025.

The town is built around two beaches. Levante runs east of the old town and has a lively promenade lined with restaurants and entertainment venues, while Poniente lies on the south side of the port and, per the tourism site, has a quieter atmosphere.

The old town sits on the promontory between the two beaches. It suits people who want to walk to both beaches and to the Balcón del Mediterráneo viewpoint.

Benidorm's tourism site gives an average year-round temperature of 19 °C and says the town receives visitors in all 12 months of the year.

That makes Benidorm a winter option as well as a summer one. If you want the beaches at their busiest, go in summer, and if you want quieter streets, look at the months either side of it.

The Balcón del Mediterráneo, also called the Castle Viewpoint, stands on the promontory between Levante and Poniente. A fortress stood there from the 14th to the 16th century, and a few remains of its walls can still be seen on the rocks.

The Serra Gelada Natural Park, declared in March 2005, covers 5,653 hectares of land and sea, with cliffs over 300 m high. The tourism site lists trails such as the Albir Lighthouse route and Punta del Cavall.

Benidorm is in the Valencian Community, so every tourist home must be entered in the regional Registro de Turismo. Ask for the number before you pay a deposit.
