Italian private chef in Valencia

Good Italian food is everywhere in Valencia, but a home-cooked meal made from scratch by someone who learned it from family, not a menu, is a different thing entirely. A private Italian chef brings that to your kitchen, either as a hands-on pasta class or full catering for a dinner or event.

What Italian home cooking actually tastes like

Three dishes every Italian private chef we work with can teach or cook, done the way an Italian household actually does it.

Fresh handmade Italian pasta prepared by a private chef in Valencia

Fresh pasta

Rolled and cut by hand, tagliatelle, ravioli or gnocchi depending on the season, with a sauce built from scratch, not a jar.

Creamy Italian risotto prepared by a private chef in Valencia

Risotto

Stirred properly over 18 to 20 minutes with warm stock added a ladle at a time, mushroom, saffron or seafood depending on what is good that week.

Homemade tiramisu with layers of mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers, made by a private chef in Valencia

Tiramisu

Mascarpone, espresso-soaked savoiardi and cocoa, assembled the night before so it actually sets, not the dense supermarket version.

Classes vs catering

Every Italian chef we work with offers both. Pick whichever fits your evening, or compare the other cuisines on the private chef hub.

Cooking classes

Hands-on, at your rental or the chef's kitchen. You roll the pasta yourself, work the risotto pan and assemble the tiramisu, then eat everything you make. If you would rather join a scheduled group session instead, the Valencia cooking class directory lists the regular ones.

  • 2 to 3 hours, hands-on, at your rental or the chef's kitchen
  • Small groups, usually 2 to 8 people
  • You cook and eat what you make, chef guides every step

Home catering

The chef cooks a full Italian menu in your kitchen for a dinner party, anniversary or small event, fresh pasta and dessert included, while you and your guests just sit down. The same chefs cover team dinners and corporate offsites in Valencia.

  • Chef cooks in your kitchen, you and your guests just eat
  • Works for 4 to 20+ people depending on the menu
  • Chef handles shopping, prep, cooking and clean-up

How many courses your headcount can carry

For four to eight guests the primo and secondo rhythm works exactly as it should, and the chef can roll and cut fresh pasta in your kitchen during the evening. That needs counter space and a stretch of quiet bench, which is usually the real constraint in an apartment rather than the hob.

At twelve, the pasta is made ahead and finished at the house, because hand-rolling for twelve during service ties up both the counter and the chef. The limit is boiling capacity: one large pot cooks a set number of portions at a time and fresh pasta cannot be held once it is drained, so plates have to leave the kitchen fast.

Past twenty, the menu moves to formats the oven can carry, lasagna, parmigiana, tortellini in brodo, served family style from trays. Antipasti scale most easily of anything on the table, so boards do the heavy lifting while the ovens work.

What booking an Italian chef actually involves

You send the date, headcount, address and dietary restrictions, and pick a direction or one of the set menus above. The chef comes back with a proposal and you get one round of changes before it is locked.

Allergies and halal, vegetarian or vegan requirements are handled at menu stage, not on the night. Fresh pasta is normally egg and wheat, so a gluten-free or vegan table needs a different dough planned in advance, and a pork-free menu means the cured meat board and the vitello tonnato are replaced rather than adapted.

The chef shops in the morning for fish, vegetables and cheese, and assembles the tiramisu the day before so it actually sets. They arrive within an agreed window before service, cook through the courses, serve, and leave the kitchen clean at the end.

What it typically costs

Catering for an Italian home-cooked meal starts from €39 per person. Hands-on pasta classes usually start around €39 per person too, tell us your event and headcount for an exact quote.

These are rough estimates to help you plan, not a fixed price. The chef confirms an exact quote once you share your headcount, menu and date.
