Golf in Valencia as a group

Valencia has a course by the sea at El Saler and parkland courses inland, all within easy reach of the city.

The golf courses a group can combine near Valencia

El Saler, the course at the Parador inside the Albufera Natural Park, is an 18-hole, par-72 layout designed by Javier Arana and opened in 1968. It has hosted the Spanish Open four times, most recently in 2013, and it is the round most golf groups travel for.

The Real Club de Golf Manises, near the airport, is a nine-hole course with double tees, so a second loop makes 18. Its visitor rules cap the playing handicap for non-members at 36.0, which is worth knowing before you plan a mixed-ability group around it.

When to bring a golf group to Valencia

Spring and autumn are the strongest seasons, with comfortable daytime temperatures and none of the summer heat. In July and August an early tee time matters, especially on an exposed course like El Saler.

Winter stays mild by northern European standards, so a group can play outdoors through the colder months too. Our golf guide covers each course near the city.
