Sports travel in Valencia: group trips by sport

Running clubs, padel groups, football teams, sailors and golfers come to Valencia for its climate and its events. Start with your sport, then tell us about your group.

Why groups choose Valencia for sport

Valencia combines a mild climate, a flat city built for running and cycling, a long beach and a sailing club with an America's Cup past. Courts, pitches, courses and a MotoGP circuit are all within reach of the city.

Each sport below has a page where you can tell us about your group, and most have a guide with the practical facts.

The sports calendar to plan around

The Valencia Half Marathon runs on Sunday 25 October 2026 and the Valencia Marathon on Sunday 6 December 2026, according to the city's municipal sports foundation. Both use a ballot for entry, so race trips are planned around the draw.

The MotoGP season ends at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo from 27 to 29 November 2026, according to the MotoGP calendar. For court, pitch, course and water sports, spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons, and outdoor play is possible for much of the year.
