Pinedo () is the closest Pobles del Sud beach village to central Valencia with 2,724 residents, sitting on the coast just south of the port and the Turia mouth. The barrio is the practical city-beach option for residents who want sand, dunes and a long paseo without driving all the way to El Saler. Pinedo is also one of the few Valencia beaches with a dog-friendly stretch year-round, which has drawn a noticeable share of dog-owning renters from the centre.
Pinedo has the same name in Valencian and Castilian. We have not found a reliable source for the origin of the name. According to the Ajuntament's municipal register, 2,724 people lived here on 1 January 2025, on 652.7 hectares (about 1,613 acres).
